Boots, UK-based erectile dysfunction specialist Futura Medical has been cleared of criminal charges after being alerted by an anti-impotence specialist. Known as the "Viagra for men" group, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has received a tip-off from a specialist about a patient who allegedly had been given the Viagra for men name, 'Candyman', in a bid to 'understand why this particular patient had been given Viagra'.
This is the first time that a patient has been given a Viagra for men's sexual health in the UK, a spokesperson said. They said: "The MHRA has received a tip-off from a specialist who wants to know why this patient has been given Viagra for men.
“It is believed that the patient gave this information to their GP,” said Mr Daniel, referring to the consultant urologist who was told by the patient that he was 'under a lot of pressure' to have Viagra given to his girlfriend. “It is believed that this patient was given this for a sexual health reason.
“It is likely that the patient was aware of this particular Viagra for men name. As per a clinical advice, the patient is not an individual that should be given Viagra. “It is not recommended to give this particular patient the Viagra he has been given.
“The MHRA will review all relevant data and any relevant patient records to determine if it is safe for the patient to use the product.”
The patient is under a lot of pressure to have Viagra given to his girlfriend, who is in her early 30s and is struggling to find a life that is enjoyable and comfortable.
“It is not recommended to give this particular patient the Viagra he has been given.”
Mr Daniel said: “This is a serious medical issue and it is a medical condition that has to be diagnosed and treated.”
He added: “This is the first time that a patient has been given a Viagra for men name, 'Candyman'. The patient was under a lot of pressure to have Viagra given to his girlfriend. We are aware of this patient and are currently receiving an appropriate referral for a referral letter from the patient.
The Viagra for men group is set to be formed to replace the NHS 'Vietnam viagra' system, which has been under a close watch in recent years as the NHS is increasingly reliant on the private sector to support patients with sexual health problems. It will be renamed Viagra for Men in the NHS, a move that comes after the MHRA said it would recommend new prescribing to the National Healthcare Service. As well as being a specialist in sexual health, the MHRA is also conducting clinical investigations into some other issues and is looking at possible links between the Viagra for men and the health risks associated with taking prescription drugs.
As of April 1, the Viagra for men's sexual health group had been given £1m in funding from the National Health Fund. This was raised to £1.3m by a private sector member of staff and has not been disclosed.
Pete Wilson, founder and CEO of Viagra for Men in the UK, has been in touch with the MHRA.READ MORE:
